Reading The Running Man by Bachman/King and loving the bizarre vision of “2025…” What do we think neo-rock is supposed to sound like?

This is unbelievable. I got suspended by bluesky just for quoting the lyrics of the Beatles’ “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and changing “hold your hand” to “stab you with a big knife”

Finale of The Return still gave me bad dreams last night and it was my third time watching. Remains one of the most viscerally unnerving works of art

Feel like every politician at every level in every country needs to watch Threads (1984) like right the fuck now

How crazy would it have been if Kendrick had gone up there and just done “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst”

Starting to carte blanche block people blaming those who opposed Biden and Harris’ genocide in Gaza for our current nightmare. The people who committed genocide are at fault for a world where genocide is possible.

In Terrifier 3, Art the Clown sets off a bomb in a shopping mall that kills children and Damien Leone’s telling me this shit isn’t political? David Howard Thornton is the only reason those movies are watchable at all, we have to stan an anti-fascist king and kick the collaborators to the curb

Re: LAFD Budget

Seeing City officials in the press ignore the severe impacts of these budget cuts, especially the ones covering for their poor budget decisions to cut a majority of departments' budgets & even AFTER Chief Crowley told them about the impacts these cuts have had, is DISGRACEFUL.

Last not least is the first full-length, The Golden Fang Goes West, a loose concept album structured as a road-trip, that explores nostalgia, coming-of-age, personal and political history, the concept of Manifest Destiny and the fictionalized American West. Enjoy!

Greenhouse is a compilation of unreleased early material presented in reverse chronological order by their recording date, making it a journey from The Golden Fang’s future (the polyrhythmic techno of “Golden”) into its past (the apocalyptic blues of “Heat Blister”)

“Video” was recorded the same time as “Zen and the Art of” in late 2015. I enjoyed it as an example of the raw analog malevolence of early Golden Fang, so in 2018 I packaged it as a single with “Garden Echo,” another one-off track created digitally as a contrast

An ambitious expansion of The Golden Fang sound, Cold Sounds features piano, guitar, samples, emphasis on distorted textures borrowed from shoegaze and most notably drums on closer “Wolf,” a signpost for the techno direction the project has increasingly taken

One of my most ambient releases, June was recorded in 2016 as a personal balm. Improvisation is central to my process, and on June you can hear this in practice as the soundscape morphs from a meditative pulse in Pt 1 to an amorphous cry of mourning in Pt 2.
