Who could ever have known the Online Safety Act was not safe?!

Nobody could have seen this coming!

"We're not racist, we are just patriotic!" As they spew hatred towards people raising money for charity because they're Sikh.

Today on my little adventures I spotted a friend. I try not to intervene in nature but it was crawling around on and near a footpath with a lot of foot traffic, dogs and bicycles that travel over it, so I moved it a little bit off into the undergrowth. #TouchGrass

On my walk today I spotted a great many things. The birds were too flighty to photograph, the rabbits too hoppy, and the thousands of baby fish too glittery. This mushroom, possibly an Agaricus Augustus (Prince), was more than happy to pose for me, though. #TouchGrass

In 1984 lesbians and gays joined miners striking when the government sequestered union funding. The trade unions have not forgotten the support received from a community that seemed a world apart from the miners, and since then trade unions march in solidarity in pride protests (Today In Darlington)

Was followed all the way through the field by these mischievous boys. Can't say I'm still not intimidated by them even though I know bullocks are the least dangerous cattle since they're not territorial like bulls or protective and hormonal like cows, they're still pretty big! #TouchGrass

This is a sleeper bridge, so-called because they use reclaimed rail line wooden sleepers from disused tracks. If you have a history of rail travel in your area, you may find these sleeper bridges when you #TouchGrass

Allow 16-17 year olds to vote and then block their access to information regarding things which 16-17 year olds are likely to vote based on. (I volunteer with young people and they talk about global conflict often)

But it's ok, it's 'protecting children'.

According to Oxford Reference both "Tsunami" And "Tsunamis" are correct for referring to the plural of #tsunami. Although the Japanese language does not pluralise using an "S" at the end of a word, there are ways to pluralise words. Also, both English and Japanese borrow words from each other.

A fantastic example of Dryad's saddle (Cerioporus squamosus) on a tree stump in my local church ground. I love the patterns of the brown scales. They remind me of crepe style pancakes. #TouchGrass

Direct Messaging? NO. The Online Safety Act does NOT cover that. Bsky apparently didn't even bother managing to read the act. Nothing says 'direct messaging' or 'chat' or mentions anything specific to DM or chat. www.gov.uk/government/p...

I reported this comment on Facebook. It was in response to a woman who was seeking help on applying for financial help for her grandchild that she's the sole carer of. It took a week for Facebook to respond with "We did not remove this comment as it does not breach our community guidelines".

Remember when Facebook actually used to moderate their platform? Now you report obvious hate speech and even obvious scam bot accounts (the type with stolen sexy profile pics trying to scam old men) and you just get "We didn't remove the content" automated responses back. What an awful platform.

Nintendo is trending. Let's use this moment to remind everyone that Nintendo are a disgusting corporation that would rather copyright troll than innovate. Shutting down smaller publishers and developers by creating bullshit patents after-the-fact.

Fuck Nintendo.

My favourite part of the Superman movie is the big softy Dad. Men and boys lack positive father figures growing up. Seeing the most powerful being on Earth just needing a hug from a father figure is incredibly poignant.

I may not be beautiful or be creative enough to make something beautiful, but I can choose to leave a place more beautiful than I found it. Bring a bag when you go walking and fill it with the litter you come across on your travels.
