I get moving to BlueSky (or anywhere else) primarily, but is there actually any reason beyond the performative to *deactivate* your account over there?
I feel like keeping your account but not logging in has benefits, like other people not pretending they're you for the next 3 years for example.

I think a lot of BlueSky's long-term issues with moderation can be summed up as building a community-based approach. that exists independently of a community

Something that instantly leaps out at me from these figures: women are of course disproportionately impacted because the complexity of switching over exists primarily to attempt to force disabled people off of benefits entirely (so the State can massage figures to pretend they're in work)
