Wondering if PVC Electrical tape would be okay for keeping the inner shell of a laptop's keyboard/wrist rest area secured? Don't have any special glue. Since putting back the old laptop, I probably cut off something in the plastic when I was trying to get it all open.

I did surprise myself the other year when I disassembled an old N64 console to try and get to the bottom of why it wasn't booting up with audio/video. Guides were certainly helpful.
In the end, it turned out the A/V port needed some petroleum jelly.
