Yeah and for a lot cheaper so that’s probably how they roll
I’ve been thinking about how many “step forward” seasons they need from guys and thinking it would be nice to have more bankable production in the middle of the lineup but an NPB free agent probably isn’t the way to fix that

I don’t mind the sound of that at all
I’m not that worried about third base defense because I wouldn’t want him playing that position except to give a guy a day off here or there

International signings are a lot fun! I really enjoyed rooting for Sugano this year it would be cool to keep the NPB pipeline flowing

I think it’s interesting. Like any instance of bringing over a free agent from another league there’s risk that you might pay a lot and get incredibly replaceable production like with what happened with Yoshida.
