When the Amiga prototype computer was desperate for an operating system, UK based Dr Tim King saved the day. Get cosy with a cuppa and join me as I talk with Dr Tim King and his wife Jessica and hear about their fascinating time with Amiga and more.

Things you never knew existed...
"Manhole Cover Grease"
Today's maintenance job at the museum was to stop some smells coming from a manhole in the basement. The things I do for @museumofcomputing.bsky.social!

Amazing to think 1970's computers are still out there doing what they were designed for!

Mrs TDO never leaves home without a knitting project. Here she's knitting a multi-coloured 'End of life care' blanket for our local hospital. She certainly wasn't expecting to make friends with another knitter at the cave.
A little software assembly taking place in The Cave today…

The Museum of Computing would like to thank @shortcircuit.org.uk for organising the amazing RetroFest event in our home town of Swindon. It was a pleasure to collaborate with them and we met so many wonderful visitors and exhibitors. We look forward to supporting next year's event!

I'll be at #RetroFest both days with my @museumofcomputing.bsky.social hat on! Be sure to stop by the museum stand and have a chat and don't forget the Museum of Computing is open that day too and only a 20 minute walk away through the town centre!
Isambard Kingdom Brunel would like to remind you that it's just TWO WEEKS until RetroFest! retrofest.uk

A few more checks needed but a new LOPT has fixed this Atari ST monitor for @museumofcomputing.bsky.social
The HR STVDST-01 TV simulator is a useful tool for confirming the old LOPT was faulty before replacing it. The old LOPT has a strange bulge which could be from a winding breaking down.

The new Jaguar is kind of making me nostalgic for pre-texture-mapped, gouraud-shaded games.
