This is where I write my musings on TV and health policy. All opinions are my own.
The first two full paragraphs succinctly explains the GOPs attempt to change current policy baseline, and why that's bad. But the 20 metaphors that follow are a lot of fun. I think the Plaza metaphor is best.
Having trouble understanding what a "current policy baseline" is? Don't worry! We have metaphors for you. www.nytimes.com/interactive/... @aliciaparlap.bsky.social with A+ illos from Maddy Fischer

Favorite quote from article as it shows Trumps philosophy “It’s the successful execution of an impulse Trump articulated back in June 2020, when the covid-19 pandemic was raging: “If we stop testing right now,” he said, “we’d have very few cases, if any.””
Trump is purging government data in an attempt to doctor reality. Disappearing, or otherwise manipulating, statistics is a classic authoritarian technique. @crampell.bsky.social
and I analyze these tricks in our latest piece.

Great study. Sometime for QC my team will divide into two groups and work independently to see if they get the same result. Luckily, we haven’t had any situations where the two teams had polar opposite results, like seen in this study.

If I was in Severance I would smuggle Harry Potter to my innie, so they could enjoy the book without ever having to know about outtie JK Rowling.

That might also be a metaphor for cis privilege.

Starting Jan 2026 Part D beneficiaries will see lower prices for 10 high-cost drugs, but this doesn't change the amount pharmacies have to pay to acquire these medications. This may be an issue for ind. pharmacies but will be interesting to see if this is an issue for larger pharmacy chains as well.
