Another year... another Autodesk University proposal rejected.
Oh, well... I guess it's just not meant to happen. I worked really hard on this one too.

Got a real mystery on my hands. Trying to find a Keynote file but the absolute path is no longer available in Revit... any hints? It's a very old file, so searching for it on our new servers hasn't worked. Trying to drum up info on where it was in our old server system.

#Autodesk is getting into the AI applications on #AutodeskConstructionCloud with their Autodesk Assistant tool (currently beta). It's in the specifications module (available in Docs and Build). Allowing you to ask questions related to your specs. I have just started testing it.

Today I rode my bike 154.7 miles on dirt roads in 9.5 hours. The undercarriage may need a little maintenance.

I don't know how I missed this one in last month's update, but you can transmit (track the receipt) of data from ACC to non-Members now. 🤩 Once 'Transmit files to anyone' is enabled in settings. You can add non-Members (people not in your ACC project) to a transmittal #AutodeskConstructionCloud #BIM

Naming Mullion families is a little wonky... but this one I seriously couldn't reverse engineer the logic on. What am I missing here?

I posted this on 'the other platform', but that's gone now. So, if you were interested in this please take it. It's a diagram on how CD are changed. It doesn't cover everything but it's a good start for anyone early in the industry. #construction #BIM

One of my super stable flows randomly failed yesterday... and the most annoying part is I will go to my grave never knowing why it failed. I reran the exact same flow and *ding* 🛎️ it worked as expected.

Thanks! I thought about you while I was at the air & space museum. I had a great time. Can’t wait to see it again after the renovation is complete.

40th birthday came and went. Spent it doing nerdy stuff like bourbon and museum walking with my favorite person. Too many pics to post on this platform.

What do I use AI for? To turn a shitty jumbled list of users into a clean list I can drop into a CSV. By asking CoPilot to look at an unformatted Excel export (left) and make a list It just saved me lots of tedious work. Sorry, It's heavily redacted because these are user emails.

I'm not a huge fan of being in a mixed #autodesk token and named user environment. I have found tokens made thing more difficult. But I do like that tokens allow us to support our low volume end users. Our first year of using tokens is coming in EXACTLY on budget. For a first try, that's a win!

This is the most Ohio photo I’ve ever taken. Abandoned Days Inn blanketed in snow next to a highway. It was -8 degrees yesterday when I left the hotel to start training.

My Outlook has started doing this really neat thing where randomly an email I send to someone appears blank like so. It's causing a lot of confusion for my team.

So... I got that going for me.

A simple graphic on layer behavior at joins in #Revit. Revit does not join different materials and Finish layers will try to join other finish layers of the same function. Note ceilings and walls do not typically join automatically. I prefer Finish 2 [5] is always the outer most material.
