Another year... another Autodesk University proposal rejected.
Oh, well... I guess it's just not meant to happen. I worked really hard on this one too.

Got a real mystery on my hands. Trying to find a Keynote file but the absolute path is no longer available in Revit... any hints? It's a very old file, so searching for it on our new servers hasn't worked. Trying to drum up info on where it was in our old server system.

I don't assume I know anything, anymore. A user is reporting electrical engineers keep borrowing elements in the Arch model. The engineers swear they're not opening the arch model. Apparently, borrowing objects in the Elec model is impacting elements in Arch model.... don't make sense.

The best part of being a BIM manager is solving the same problem when you change companies. You already know the solution!

The worst part about being a BIM manager is solving the same problem when you change companies. You have to implement the change again!

#Autodesk is getting into the AI applications on #AutodeskConstructionCloud with their Autodesk Assistant tool (currently beta). It's in the specifications module (available in Docs and Build). Allowing you to ask questions related to your specs. I have just started testing it.

Today I rode my bike 154.7 miles on dirt roads in 9.5 hours. The undercarriage may need a little maintenance.

MEP #BIM friends, I was told we 'still need' a demo workset for MEP elements. But to my understanding you *MAY* not anymore after Revit changed how demoed MEP elements behave. But, I'm also being told the losing system info 'fix' created other issues. Can anyone ELI5?

Came in early to work on some projects this morning to learn that someone kicked me off our sharepoint site.

For fucks sake.

I don't know how I missed this one in last month's update, but you can transmit (track the receipt) of data from ACC to non-Members now. 🤩 Once 'Transmit files to anyone' is enabled in settings. You can add non-Members (people not in your ACC project) to a transmittal #AutodeskConstructionCloud #BIM

If anyone manages their RIB SpecLink assets can you please DM me?

Specs team: you know why we add the ‘this page left blank right?’

Me: yes, so the next spec section always starts on an odd page

Team: so we can’t get rid of it.

Me: Yes. You can. And doing so will make CA setup much faster.

Team: but what about the contractor.

Me: thats their problem.

If any of my fellow BiM folks didn’t know I’m presenting tomorrow on Autodesk Build on BIM Pure Live. Very excited to show how this “construction” tool has been supporting our CA work.

Naming Mullion families is a little wonky... but this one I seriously couldn't reverse engineer the logic on. What am I missing here?

I posted this on 'the other platform', but that's gone now. So, if you were interested in this please take it. It's a diagram on how CD are changed. It doesn't cover everything but it's a good start for anyone early in the industry. #construction #BIM

One of my super stable flows randomly failed yesterday... and the most annoying part is I will go to my grave never knowing why it failed. I reran the exact same flow and *ding* 🛎️ it worked as expected.
