Lol. If you ACTUALLY think about it, libraries are the backbone of nearly every (traditionally published) authors' sales. There are over 17K public libraries in the US, and 100k libraries of every kind. They *all* buy books. And sometimes buy more when the first set wear out! Libraries are AMAZING.
I once heard an author say that libraries were "government-sponsored piracy, if you really think about it" which convinced me to pay zero attention to that author going forward.

FYI: There is a global strike for Palestine this week and there are multiple ways to show your support for Palestine and call for a ceasefire. Just because you can't take work off or attend a protest doesn't mean you can't contribute.

Kid is back at school, happy they are there, so things are a bit better. So grateful they see me as a support system in their life and will confide in me about feeling unwell.

Hello, dealing with the blow of having my kid in the hospital and now in an outpatient program hit me hard while doing the dishes tonight. Cried in the bathroom but then remembered we're good even though the emails and bills and dishes will never cease.

Friends, it has been a rough week. My kid is in the hospital. They're ok, but it's going to be a long road. And I had to dispatch a favorite chicken that had an infection. I've taken a couple days off, feeling like dogs hit. Think good thoughts for us.
