Of course women don't like the Cybertruck.

Women only want one thing, and it's the 1981 DMC DeLorean

right on the nose. devs also over-value player feedback imo. players are wrong about everything almost all the time, and this is no exception. they’ll always say “can you make cutscenes skippable” and never the real solution: “can you make the cutscenes better?”

If your software can't play Bad Apple, run Doom, or rick roll people, its not real software.

1. LLM-generated code tries to run code from online software packages. Which is normal but
2. The packages don’t exist. Which would normally cause an error but
3. Nefarious people have made malware under the package names that LLMs make up most often. So
4. Now the LLM code points to malware.
LLMs hallucinating nonexistent software packages with plausible names leads to a new malware vulnerability: "slopsquatting."
LLMs can't stop making up software dependencies and sabotaging everything
: Hallucinated package names fuel 'slopsquatting'

I am begging people to understand that the "solution" here - increasingly fragile tech stacks - introduces massive resiliency challenges.

We should be discussing single points of failure more than we do. And this stuff will get worse unless we start rejecting these ideas.

If your an aspiring developer do not be discouraged by AI tools replacing you. In the same way image generation is full of mistakes, code generation inevitably is as well. The difference between art and code though is a mistake in code can delete all of your platform's userdata.

Don't give personal information to AI chatbots. They train off your chats (help.openai.com/en/articles/...) and attackers can use prompt engineering to intentionally extract information like this from a model: arxiv.org/abs/2311.17035

Glaze & Nightshade are tools for artists that invisibly poison your art so it can't be used AI models that train on your images or your style.

Generative AI is being shoved in our faces, heres stuff I use to mute it out:
- AI Blocklists with uBlacklist (github.com/laylavish/uB...)
- DuckDuckGo (AI is much less intrusive and can be disabled)
- uBlock Origin's element zapper button to delete AI assistants, annoying popups, and paywalls
