Despite the LLTNPA's rejection, the Scottish Government has decided to approve the development, subject to a legal agreement between Flamingo Land and the park authority. The government cited the potential economic benefits and job creation as key factors in its decision.

In Scotland, Planning Permission in Principle (PPP) is a type of planning permission that allows the basic principles of a proposed development to be considered and approved before more detailed plans are submitted. It is regarded as a 'nod' to go through the gate and get round the table to discuss.

And the appeal has now been upheld by the Scottish Government and allowed to proceed.
The development will go ahead providing planning regulations and agreement is reached.

The error looks like another stumble from JS on the back of a lack-lustre and disengaging government statement.
Many supporters of Scottish independence are bewildered by his refusal, perhaps embarrassment in using the word 'independence'.
