PD break #safespaces #nationallibraryweek

It’s been a great day. I didn’t even know it was #schoollibrarianappreciationday until the kids walked in with thank you cards 🥰. This is the best job-non-job I’ve ever had and I can’t wait to do it for real one day in my own library.

A2: I currently volunteer at a public school library in Philadelphia. The library, like pretty much all Philly schools, has no librarian. I did my first bulletin board the other month, and it included love letters written by the kids on why they love their library ❤️ #TLSkyChat

Spring semester here I come 😎.

Makerspace day one was a huge success! I learned so much. But really all that matters is kids made things! After clean-up a student said “I love makerspace!” and that’s just all it takes to have me do it again. 🥰 thanks to #TLSkyChat for the great ideas!

To the Philadelphia School Board: “authorize a centralized budget so that every school can have a school librarian and a library again. Let’s provide our students with access to the information they need to be successful and a certified librarian to help them navigate to it and through it.”
