You still haven’t answered my question, and I’ve already directed you to answers for yours. Idk why you’re still going on about this.

Look, they’re still stinging from losing a war to emus.

Well, I did see one guy roll out from CRFB to complain about one of the only good-ish things in the news, which is unsurprising: www.newsweek.com/watchdog-cal...
Watchdog calls out Trump’s ‘beyond ridiculous’ student loan payment pause
On Friday, the Department of Education announced an indefinite pause on involuntary collections for defaulted borrowers.

Well, you clearly have strong feelings about this. I hope you get well soon, man.

You didn’t answer my question about what makes this situation different from the Civil Rights movement, so, in lieu of that, again: what they describe in the book. I’m not advocating for violence; I’m advocating for the pre-existing violence to stop, and asking nicely won’t work.
January 18, 2026 at 2:12 PM
It’s not necessarily about using violent force. It’s about making their (ICE’s) use of violent force more costly to them. It’s like nuclear deterrence. As for why this situation is different, I’m not sure I follow? (genuinely asking)

There’s a really good book about this on the Civil Rights Movement you should read if you’re genuinely interested - it’s called “This Nonviolent Stuff Will Get You Killed: How Guns Made the Civil Rights Movement Possible.” A lot of what we are taught about nonviolent resistance is wrong.

JD would think being a peasant is the most shameful thing, given his apparent disdain for Appalachia.

Did we have, like, a secret lobotomy campaign across the country or what? Like why are you asking DuckDuckGo AI if Trump is a liar or not? And then posting about it like it’s a victory???

These guys always think eugenics won’t get them…

So cool how we just have a mafia branch running a protection racket in every town and city of this country that elected officials have to play nice with or else. Very cool and healthy and democratic.

Look, I’m not gonna defend them much because they’re a disappointment generally, but the name is supposed to be a reference to the American understanding of the term (a rebel, an upstart) not the historical group. I’m pretty sure Cenk has said he regrets the name choice.

Are children to be led, and Reps think politicians signaling affinity with them by cosplaying is enough. It’s a vicious system we have going here. No wonder so many people just check out of politics entirely.
January 18, 2026 at 2:30 AM
Yeah arguably bedside manner is kinda one of the most important things…
January 18, 2026 at 2:20 AM
Well, it was effective again Napoleon and Hitler in Russia, so it’s been battle-tested!
