I also think calling her a dimwit, which is probably not true, lets her off the hook. She is lying to us. That's her job, and were she to stop, she'd be fired immediately and replaced by another liar. That's our reality now.

That's the worst part: even as things get more awful, there will be absolutely zero acknowledgement that they totally bought into a corrupt and malign megalomaniac who cares not a whit for anyone but himself and his allies.

Every day, and most days, several times a day, I read a news blurb and think, "that didn't happen. There's no way!" And then of course, it did happen. The silver lining is people can raise their own chickens? I'm beside myself with disbelief.

More like, the righteous saw and declaimed that slavery was evil, but were ignored by the perpetrators. Same for Plessy and the rise of the KKK after reconstruction. Instead the evildoers dug in, wallowing in their moral failures.

It's a fair question, and an uncertain answer. Their collective contempt for US foreign aid is deep and hot, and it's big hobby horse for the current occupant. I'm guessing it matters not a whit.

I'd prefer we go back to constitutionalism, the kind where the Congress steps up to its responsibilities. But we're in a real box if one party is openly cheating and rigging the game--and willing to go to violence, and the other can't convince the electorate what's happening right in front of them

This is a jaw-dropping refutation of the legacy values at the US DoJ. And it s specific enough in detail to suggest DoJ lawyers are uneasy signing plainly bogus arguments on behalf of blatantly lawless decisions.
