Boeuf bourguignon progress

Brining an (allegedly) butterflied pork loin roast at 11PM because my days at work of feeling like a waste of skin tire me out, and I needed a nap where I reached REM sleep upon arriving home.

Didn't text her about someone we both worked with dying. Didn't text her after her almost namesake got an awesome punt return TD. I am probably done with texting her, and that's a damn shame. I saw her more times when she lived across the country than when she moved 30 min from me. My fault, though.

Made braised short ribs with risotto alla milanese for the fam on New Year's Day. Still exhausted.

I am such a tease in doing complex dishes. Takes me forever to see it to completion. Anyway, here's the meat ragu and the bechamel/Ricotta sauces going into my lasagna later.

Well, it finally happened. By that, I mean my building's property manager informed me that people testing the fire alarms refused to enter my unit on health and safety grounds. I needed a kick in the ass to stop living in squalor. Only wish this happened in previous years when I also wasn't broke.

Told a grocery clerk I was off until next weekend. She was like "I want your job!" I said, no you don't. It's like yours but worse. Last night, I was threatened by a guy because I ID'd his gf. She showed me a pic of her ID and I allowed it, and she left with no problem.

Love that I regularly had Mondays off and maybe worked 2 in 7 years at my previous store and later today will be my 4th at my current store in a span of 5 months.
