Fauja was a proud member of East London’s Sikhs In The City running club, and raised thousands of pounds for Bliss, a charity that supports babies born prematurely.

In 2004 Fauja ran the London Marathon at the age of 93. Sporting a red British Heart Foundation top, Fauja chose to run the marathon representing BHF in honour of his friends who had taken up running after having heart attacks.

It's great to see the Government recommit to reducing early deaths from CVD by 25% over the next decade. This ambitious goal is possible. We're excited to work with the Government to make it happen.

In partnership with the UK Dementia Research Institute (@ukdri.ac.uk) we've established the UK’s first research centre dedicated to finding new treatments to prevent, halt and cure this cruel condition.
