📢 New polling conducted by YouGov on behalf of BHF found that over half (56%) of Brits are not confident estimating their daily salt intake 🧂

The salt in our diets comes from a wide range of sources, incl. staple items such as bread, making it difficult for people to know how much they are eating

Working-age adults in England are eating 8.4g of salt per day on average – that’s 40% more than the Government recommended maximum intake of 6g.

New analysis by @thebhf.bsky.social shows this is equivalent to the salt in 22 packets of ready-salted crisps 🧂🧵
