NEWS: ABC/ESPN has demoted Doris Burke from its NBA Finals team and promoted Tim Legler, sources tell @andrewmarchand.bsky.social.

this weekend has been the most extreme renom roulette we've had in a long time, but I'm glad this cast has normalized saying renom rather than backdoor, when it's not a targeted backdoor plan.. it's the little things 🙌 #bb27

When public media disappears, so do the stories that bring us together.

With federal funding eliminated, millions may lose their last trusted source of news and connection.

Vince is a dangerous player. His ability to cater what he says to the person he is talking to, spinning them in circles, or towing a line on what they already (incorrectly) think and adding on to it, he is one to watch closely. #BB27

USC media law professor Jonathan Kotler told me when I started my master’s degree program, a year ago today, that this Supreme Court was going to disintegrate the constitution as we know it.
BREAKING: the Supreme Court *grants* the Trump administration's emergency plea in DHS v. D.V.D. to resume deporting non-citizens to third countries. Justices Sotomayor, Kagan and Jackson dissent at length. The majority cites no reasons for granting the government's request.

Looking for #book recommendations. Wanting non-fiction recommendations in the journalism/curiosity leading to obsession in interesting topics realm.

Recently read I’ll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara and Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties by Tom O’Neill.
