I went to my Congressman's local office today. First off, they were surprised that I was there. They said they had been getting phone calls, but I was the first walk-in. That said, the phones were not ringing off the hook. If the DC phone lines are busy, try calling the local office.

It's all worse than I ever imagined & while I knew I was never over-reacting, I couldn't imagine I was under-reacting; but here we are. I've sent my republican representatives emails, but we all know those are going in the trash. The worst part is democratic leaders being silent.

Trump has normalized abuse of all kinds his entire life.
When Trump fired James Comey in 2017, it was a nearly impeachment-level scandal because it was (rightly) regarded as an egregious abuse of power. Now he's going to fire Comey's successor, again for no legitimate reason, but no one cares because Trump has normalized abusing power.
