because 18 yr-olds will leave that trend as soon as they turn 19, to be acquired by the former 17 yr-olds

a confusion between these types of time breaks the brain, akin to cognitive dissonance (* asterisk'd term ATM)

in that when people going through a vertical stage in their lives declare a trend, people in other vertical stages hear that trend as belonging in horizontal time

an ipod is a product of lateral time, people used to listen to music on a walkman, time moved along, then they listen to ipods, then they listen to the music app on a phone

a joke based on poop words is a product of vertical time, only 5–7 year-olds find poop words funny, no matter what year it is

looks fun (and terrrrible)
