I know you're making a joke, but that's actually a thing -- it's sometimes called "agentic" AI, and the idea is to chain together AI (including LLM) model "agents" that each do specialized tasks. There are various frameworks (one example is called langchain) for doing stuff like this.

Many of them partially supported by the same research funding sources Trump & Co want to reduce and dismantle.

So not only are we tossing aside valuable people now, but we're also attacking the pipelines that created vast amounts of STEM expertise. It's the most mind-bogglingly stupid thing ever.
