There is no universe where that is a "good thing". If a program can run locally and doesn't because 'cloud', you are not adding features you are taking one away.

It is useful for automation where programming for every edge case that pops up would be a full time job no one wants. But I think you are overestimating it. Five year old human? Try five day old cockroach trained on breadcrumbs

I hate MS too but companies were already able to do this. I know cause I wrote scripts to collect such information. Mostly to see where workers logged in from more often so we could make more informed purchases for IT gear

That is very good advice. When shopping for 8bitDo Controllers always check the connection type. For Linux, I do recommend the 2.4 Receiver types as Bluetooth is disabled by default in some distros. Easy to turn on, but a hassle if you're new.

Speaking of - The Hori 'Steam controller' is also not a great buy. While an awesome concept (and I do love the front extra buttons) I think they missed their target audience by removing rumble functionality. Some games use this to indicate something is nearby. In those games, you are blind to it.

And no, you can not bypass that check. MS closed that loophole months ago. You would kmow this if you were actually on the front lines dealing with this shit.

Norton ghost 2008 is incapable of supporting anythimg past Vista. Sure, it "works" for outdated operating systems but why would you willingly create nodes for a botnet?
I'm not a 'fanboi'. I've been a win sever/desktop admin for over half my life and dealt with incompatibilities through all of it.

As someone who is an admin for small businesses, I know you're full of shit. Software built for windows rarely makes it a single gen if not maintained by the dev. And don't get me started on hardware. TPMv2 ring bells?
