Going through some old photos in case I decide to print my own calendar for 2026 and came across this. A lucky shot, I think. If I remember correctly, it was flipping cold up there, despite being September.

Well, I did try and warn you! As seen in a bar in Aberdeen at the weekend. 'Cuse the quality but the lighting was atrocious.

Look how much Lairde Pippin Squawks-a-Lot has grown! So hard to get a photo now it's left its nest. It runs down the ledge every time I open the window & not only do I not want to stress it & its parents, I also have to watch for any cats trying to sneak under my arms. Big zoom in on my mobile, alas

Look how much Lairde Pippin Squawks-a-Lot has grown! So hard to get a photo now it's left its nest. It runs down the ledge every time I open the window & not only do I not want to stress it & its parents, I also have to watch for any cats trying to sneak under my arms. Big zoom in on my mobile, alas
Best I can do for now. Please excuse the state of the window but I can't get to clean them from outside where all the muck is. I'm going to see if I can lock the cats out of the room and try and open the far window at some point and take a better one not through grubby glass!

Cruddy cropped video still from yesterday filmed from a long distance away but proof of leaping salmon! First time I've seen one. Saw one try and jump at least three times and I think a fourth time after it had made some progress. Only captured it the once though.

Two years ago this evening I lost my little brother. Two people live on because of him and I am so thankful we'd had that organ donation conversation previously. Please make sure you've done the same with your loved ones too. You never know what is around the corner. #SaveLives #OrganDonation

Such a bonnie day up here! There was a BIG family event at the Leisure Centre so I decided not to go to the beach even though it's 2.5 miles long but never seems to have more than 30 people as I wanted to keep the illusion of it being my own private beach 😁 Had a walk by the rocky coast instead.

Such a bonnie day up here! There was a BIG family event at the Leisure Centre so I decided not to go to the beach even though it's 2.5 miles long but never seems to have more than 30 people as I wanted to keep the illusion of it being my own private beach 😁 Had a walk by the rocky coast instead.
Our birthdays were June, July, August and September so we would leave birthday cards up until the next one. Today would have been Mummy's birthday so I have take my cards down. My shelves look somewhat bare now despite having bits and bobs on them. Anyway, Happy Birthday Mummy. I miss you heaps 🕯️

Two years ago this evening around this time, my younger brother had a sudden cardiac arrest. He was resuscitated but had suffered widespread, irreversible brain damage and died nearly two weeks later. Miss you each and every day, little brother. Each and every day.

Of course, had to be done (not quite holiday beer pic)! Can heartily recommend The Garden Arms in Gardenstown, Aberdeenshire! Great staff, good food and rather nice beer. It was too hot to eat outside but ventured out later. You can see that beer was good!

Here is a close-up of part of the picture by The Mishmash Man. A few days later and I'm still finding more details. Such an incredible amount of work went into that (or the original). I've added a picture of his QR code in case it works. Off to frame and hang it now!

I had a big birthday on Sunday and some of my lovely friends got together and bought me some fabulous Chelsea-related pressies, including that little ceramic pot and neck-warmer that they made themselves. So thoughtful!

Experimenting with making a collage using an Adobe template thingy - a week's worth of sunsets from my balcony. Not too shabby for a first attempt of just smishing the photos together, I think. 26 May to 01 June. Obviously needs work to make it better so details are lost but still...
