Though less versatile, Eleanor Powell is my absolute favorite dancer. 🤩 Just an amazing athlete. Absolute beast.
(And speaking of ole Gilda herself, Rita Hayworth was one hell of a dancer as well. iirc, Fred Astaire remarked she was probably the best he ever worked with; a real pro's pro.)

I always felt like Gilda & Johnny falling in love again was, in terms of a relationship, only about half a degree removed from Lana Turner & John Garfield in 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘈𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘙𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘛𝘸𝘪𝘤𝘦. 😀 But in the world of Film Noir, I guess it counts as 'happily-ever-after'! 🙂
