I read, I love, I hope, I think.
Can anyone explain why a person who wilfully mishandles top-secret documents and sucks up to foreign despots can get a top-secret security clearance?

This is absolutely BRILLIANT.

The Finnish gov knows that educating its kids to critically think so they can understand the concept of actual fake news will protect its democracy.

The Aust gov needs to consider adding this type of leaning to the Aus curriculum.

Finland is winning the war on fake news. What it’s learned may be crucial to Western democracy
Russia's neighbor has developed a plan for countering misinformation. Can it be exported to the rest of the world?

Nobody got rich on their own.
Elizabeth Warren's observation also underpins the argument as to why it is right for the rich to say their fair share of tax.

Oh my God
Dune has the same plot as the Westminster Dog Show: After generations of careful breeding, we have produced this perfect little freak of nature and now it has behavioral issues
Mom: Let's pick out a Christmas movie to watch on Thanksgiving. Which one do you guys want to watch?

Family (in unison): DUNE!

Still trying to understand how this all works, as I spent nearly zero time at the other place. I need a link to a way to block this fascist Nazi garbage and ppl who wish they could exterminate those that are different from them. And then claim superior morality. It's ugly.

Listening to "Raising Steam" and playing "Yoku's Island Express" at Steam. The best game after the Zelda's...and it's got a 'random mode,' added by the devs at Villa Gorilla (at the urging of some speed runners at Discord.) It's added 100's of hours of play for me. Geeking out on a Saturday Night🤓

I was just thinking:

Isn't hate and war a little old-fashioned by now? Even I can easily see how much of a waste of time, money, and energy that crap is...and I'm notoriously near-sighted.

One more thing-is BlueSky a reference to Skyland, and the anti-sphere software on the St. Nazaire?

I finally feel welcome somewhere.

I have no original words of wisdom today, So here's quotes from witches who live in Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld:

"Evil is when you treat people as things." (Granny Weatherwax)

"We must speak for them as has no voices." (Granny Aching)

Thank you, BlueSky!
