New blog article out--this one's a quick look at some common fiction tropes that kinda suck for aromantic and asexual people. Read it at briaredits.com/bad-aro-ace-... and find more writing and publishing stuff on the blog!

Barely underway with these, but I have a feeling this is going to be a power duo read--what turns an average mass of people into fascists and bystanders? Not as comfortingly simple as an -ism or a -phobia, or some sort of inherant evil, turns out.

Need to work more to pay for medical care. Need medical care to be able to work. This feels like a scam, bro, what gives? <.<

A nice little gut-punch in novella form, because Hinton. She tells a moving story through subtext in a way that leaves you feeling striken without quite knowing why. Highly recommend if you want a quick read that you can't shake.

Finished book. Need next book immediately. Why is it such a long drive to the bookstore? :'D

Just finished 𝘔𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘗𝘪𝘦𝘤𝘦 and hoooo boy is there a lot to unpack. A literary work that weaves three Asian American women's takes on American society as it evolves from the birth of the internet to a dystopian future. Tackles a search for meaning in an evermore survivalist world.

'Ight, got through the first three chapters of this romcom and realized--I hate everything that people love about romances! Who'd have thought, coming from a solid aro? 😜

That being said, if you're a romcom person, this one has great wit, an instant hook, fun premise.

Book mail!! Picked a nice variety of recently-published indies from some recommendations by @electricliterature.com and I'm SUPER excited.

Just finished my dozenth reread of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘌𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘕𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘢𝘴 𝘉𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘵 by Trenton Lee Stewart--absolute 10/10, a kid's lit that adults should read.
