One of my very first relationships, this happened to me. That boy said to me outright one day he only dated me because everyone else wanted to. That’s a very fucked up thing to wrap your mind around as a young woman just starting to navigate dating.
It starts to get very spooky when men seek you out solely for your “trophy value” to other men. A lot of men are fucking possessed with the spirit of “power couple”.
