Husband. Dad. Film Critic. #NCFCA member. Big Fan of the Sermon on the Mount and Kindness. Also, movies, sports, and AEW wrasslin’
The issue with the D-Riders angle is that you want to root for the person who is fighting to win the title not just rooting against the guy who has it. If AEW is waiting for Darby, it’s only going to hurt him that the fans won’t care who it is that dethrones Mox. You want euphoria, not just relief.

I’m an #AEW guy. I figured this out years ago. But I have always liked the #RoyalRumble as flawed as it is. Part of me hopes tuning in will win me back for a season.

Whelp. Maybe next year 🤷🏻‍♂️

I appreciate people hoping for the best (however slim the chance) but narcissists don’t just wake up one day and stop hurting people. They have to be held accountable and voluntarily get help. A near impossible set of circumstances.

After the Steelers let the ravens score right before the half, I realized that I stopped rooting for the Steelers and began rooting against the ravens. Whoever the ravens play, I am now their opponent’s biggest fan.

If you have watched the Steelers collapse for the past month and you think it’s Russell Wilson’s fault then I would submit that you don’t understand how football works. Listen to loud sports talking heads less. They get paid to create controversy, not for being right.

One thing (among many) that makes the DRiders story in #AEW not hit at all for me is that for an angle that supposedly is company wide, it has not concerned itself once with the Women’s World Title. Both a damming indictment of the angle and the company’s attention to the division.

Finally got around to seeing Gladiator II. Was hoping it’d be a pallet cleanser from all the over-serious, depressing awards season films. That said, my expectations were low, but hell, that was a very terrible movie.

When it comes to film criticism, the one thing I hope there is the most consensus on is how disappointing CIVIL WAR was this year.

For the first time ever I turned in my #NCFCA voting early. It’s not been a bad year for film but it’s also not a year that produced a lot of films that will likely resonate for years to come… well, except for DUNE, of course. It was the best by some distance.
