I mean, it's pretty obvious that 4 years from now is when most of the young bats are at the end of arbitration or hitting FA. So the "why" should have been pretty obvious.

There's an irony in that no matter what names Democrats will call rural conservatives, they will *never* think they're as dumb as their actual GOP reps do.

Burnes was great, but with (almost) every other SP going on the DL last year, you hope to get more out of staff vs 2024 w/ better injury luck/depth/BP improvement.
We can argue over advanced stats, but the metrics say no big drop from Tony to ONeill. + the 2nd/3rd year guys are presumably better.

I appreciated most of his choices, including where he showed restraint (sometimes even setting up a trope and then never playing to it).

This is not professional writing. Passing off this clear speculation as fact from a source (if they had one) who clearly has a beef doesn't meet the smell test.
I DO believe Ron Desantis' biggest fan has more $ than he is using. But also would be shocked if there isn't important context with that.
