Honestly just love seeing the adopts from you in general (and I hope to get some more from you lol)
I can’t wait to see this reverse oil pump jack idea brought to life. The pump jack already reminds me of that one dunking bird toy or just a bird in general, so I’m very curious about this 👀

I could've made the color burn layers of the grass neater admittedly but I think it looks alright with the time I had XD Started on July 14 and spent 4-5 hours on it (struggled figuring out a good pose for Dåv + sketching the background). Then did the grass + the rest of it last night in 6 hours.

I really wasn't wanting to put actual lineart on the grass, so I just put a lot of strokes down like something in between how I did in these. Then more strokes on the color burn layers (and strokes to erase bits of said layers) to give more depth, especially for further into the background.

The grass is several layers of patches of strokes to make it easier to put grass behind & infront of stuff (ex. trees), & I used 2ish color burn layers for each patch as pseudo-lineart + shading to the front grass while giving detail to the land further out so out there looks more like grass

2 hours I think? I used a textured brush and put the color settings for the brush to "randomize by stroke" to give more variety to the colors and make each grass blade more visible (instead of 1 big mass). It also helped make the land further into the background less plain.

This piece was experimental in general, moreso with how I wanted to render leaves and grass. Still figuring out a way to stylize grass and leaves in a way I like (I have more progress in stylizing grass than leaves tbh)—I could've put some more detailing/separation in the leaves but it is what it is

Might not be able to complete all the sketches in time but I still want to try and do something for as many of the people who drew stuff for me this year as I can in the time that’s left, even if just a black and white sketch on paper (or a flat colored fullbody sketch idk yet)

Work stuff has been kicking my ass and left me with much less time to do stuff for art fight this year than I expected—I still have 2 digital pieces I’m working on (and 1 more I want to do) and a bunch of smaller sketches I want to do for all the people who attacked me on artfight this year
