Helping to grow the Social Economy for WMCA in the West Midlands.
Scottish by birth, attitude and upbringing. More than a little woke but hate tofu.

Like stuff about Social Enterprise and Community wealth. And funny stuff. Odd sense of humour.

So sad to hear Johnnie Walker has passed away. I had the pleasure to meet him and Tiggy in 2005. A real gentleman and lovely lady. RIP Johnnie.

Absolutely agree with all of this.
The past 15 years has seen massive growth ... in billionaires and food banks. Time for some radical change.
We don't defeat populists by calling out their lies. We tried that. Facts are complicated, and the audience for populism wants simplicity. It won't work.

We defeat populists by enacting bold political ideas that improve lives for the disenfranchised, and make the world seem less grotesquely unfair.

Our latest report on community-led department stores in today's @newstatesman.com.

Maybe the UK government could consider this?
