Really slowed down this year after falling down a live service hole. Decided to replay this randomly. Got all shrines, but F off with 900 koroks. Missed a couple of amiibo armor pieces. Still an amazing game.

My pace has slowed due to TV watching. I played the PS4 remaster years ago and decided to take on the recent remake when season 2 of the show came out. Still holds up as a great game. Haven’t replayed Left Behind DLC yet, but plan to get to that this week

A shorter game by the same co. that put out The Quarry and Until Dawn. It’s alright, but
A) you find out the twist pretty early; and
B) it’s so dark most of the time, it’s tough to navigate in 3rd person
It’s fine, got 2 endings so far

It’s great to see Max back. The lack of save import is handled via 2 ?s in Ch 1. I enjoyed it, but maybe not as much as the OG and True Colors (True Colors gets bonus points because I love Steph).
Will probably platinum this, but maybe not yet…

Feels a little like cheating because it’s so short, but putting it here for completion’s sake. Never got to play this as a kid; it’s cool to see some classic robot masters in 16-bit, Mega Man 7 style

A very quick, interesting story game. Exploring a house to figure out where everyone is. Could have been scary, but not that kind of game. LGBTQ teenage themes as well as other family drama to uncover. Worth the short time to play from my old PS+ library.

I’d have never played this if it weren’t a part of the Castlevania Anniversary Collection. A decently fun NES Pplatformer with a huge difficulty jump starting in level 7.
I made it all the way to the final boss before I realized you could attack upwards 😅

Castlevania Bloodlines
I never got to play this as a kid, because I didn’t have a Genesis. Solid game. Not as good as IV, but still really fun. Had a hard time with some bosses until my childhood brain said “hey, there’s always a pattern!” 😂

So much better than the first GB game! Smoother movement, better level design, not losing a whip upgrade because you took an unavoidable cheap shot - this one was fun!

Man, I did not enjoy this as an adult. As a kid, I was stoked to have Castlevania on the go, but I hate the level design and how sluggish most early Gameboy games controls were. Probably not revisiting this one again anytime soon…

A super cool concept for a game, with an alt-history steampunk London setting. I’ve been curious about this one since it launched in 2015, but never got to it. For an early PS4 game, it looks amazing. I really enjoyed it. Many complain about the runtime, but…

I honestly don’t remember Dracula being as difficult as he was tonight 😂
My absolute favorite of the classic Castlevania games. Graphics, sound gameplay, all incredible

Keeping up the short game streak before I allow myself to dive back into 100+ hour games: Castlevania III
More difficult than I remembered in the later stages. I didn’t play this one as much as 2 or 4. Took Sypha with me this time. Didn’t play well as her, but she’s a favorite from the anime now.

One of my favorites as a kid, I probably haven’t played it since the early 90s. Still enjoyed it, and got the “normal ending” after only getting the “bad” one as a kid.

Played as a part of the Castlevania collection. I forgot just how hard Death is. Not my favorite of the series, but you’ve gotta respect the original. I currently have a goal to finish all Castlevania games in 2025. We’ll see how that goes…

Another game I’ve had in my library for a while and just hadn’t gotten to. A great branching narrative story, but the slideshow style watercolor painting animations requires some getting used to. Enjoyed it. Feels incomplete, needs Book 3!

I’ve owned this for a couple of years, but just got to it. I enjoyed it, despite its lack of much in the way of gameplay. A fun, sci-fi story with 3 intersecting storylines. Would have been nice if choices mattered before the end, but still enjoyable
