At worst I wouldn't even be as mad charging a ONE-TIME fee instead, similar to how Steam does it with limited accounts sure I also disagree there (since whale-first is a horrible mindset to genuine non-spenders) but I TENFOLD prefer it over online simply bcz it's something you have to do ONLY ONCE.

Ownership of your own console, games and router should be enough, esp with stuff getting more and more expensive. If these manufacturers were poor then ok I would be less offended but since they aren't and literally change what prices you have to pay they can all keep their money over getting mine.

Shoutouts to PSN's top achievement losing their account on blackmarkets, paying real world money means you trust the billion dollar corporation to secure your account, losing that means you gave them your money which is all they care about over you, the consumer.

God console gaming is so unnecessarily expensive, I always mooched ps+ from my dad so I never really ran into the issue: but I cannot see the justification for paid online multiplayer ESPECIALLY when last gen had it for free
