At some point these ghouls will realize they've gotten everything they're ever gonna get out of propping up this dying old pervert and continuing to do so is just gonna cost them their spoils in the future.

Musk's role in this is about as vile as you can get without being a direct participant. He had full access to this info, kept it quiet, then finally spoke up to try to win an intrafactional tiff, only to shamefully retract his accusation and go back to covering for the Pedo Prez. Demonic.

The number one reason this type of deflection works is that the median Dem voter is absolutely scared shitless of the idea that the adults AREN'T in charge and will contort their own perceptions to keep believing in a comforting lie.

I don't wanna offer advice to these slop prompter guys but they know you can take an image and add your own (legible) text, right?

It's just how the Bluesky block function works. Someone blocks a person who quoted them, nobody can see it.

There's a long history of right populism copying left populism's homework with the small wrinkle that right populism is completely fake and doesn't want to offer any real solutions, but instead try to divert people away from the people who do.

Tourists visiting Europe are going to be spending most of their time touring cities so it's easy to mistake a general city problem for a regional culture problem.

Spend any amount of time arguing with scolds about what kinds of food the poors are permitted to afford and eventually they wind up basically arguing that you should live cradle to grave on rice and beans. Meats and other veggies are far too luxurious, you see.

The least sinister (but probably just as enraging) explanation has always been "they just wanna get out of the Senate chambers and off the clock." Why make the process take longer when they could fail quickly and go home?

It honestly just feels like he's out for revenge against all the people who ever yelled at him. And I just wish him all the worst next time the dark obtrusive thoughts come calling.

The whole barefoot culture thing doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Hobbits love basic comforts and you're telling me no one's ever introduced them to a nice pair of socks?

"If elected I promise to grab Chuck by the ankles and shake him until the Baileys fall out."

Protip for dudes who want to look cultured but can't be bothered to put in the work: Stop picking the most basic stuff everybody's heard of. People are more likely to fall for your ruse if you just go to a bookstore and grab something at random that the average person hasn't seen before.

Yeah I think the pressure on Senate Ds should be considerably higher. They should be fearing for their seats this time tomorrow and ready to throw Schumer under the bus to save their own skins as soon as possible, not just next year.
November 10, 2025 at 4:23 AM
What Dems across the board need to do to show they're serious about getting rid of this guy is as I keep saying: You have to make Schumer the whole caucus's problem. Every Senate Dem that won't take every measure to oust Schumer as leader must be treated as a collaborator and punished. All of them.
November 10, 2025 at 3:43 AM
The cynic in me still says that House Dems making noise doesn't amount to much and isn't a particularly brave stance but I just wanna see Schumer go under the bus and I kinda don't care how staged it winds up being.
November 10, 2025 at 3:34 AM
I'm hoping the people who rushed out to go "well now hold on it's just Axios reporting this let's not assume the worst about our beloved Dems" feel more angry at these chumps than I do for embarrassing them like that so quickly. I'm mad, but I'm a cynic. You guys were the ones who were betrayed.

50/50 on whether I even pull the lever for Ossoff next year, but if he'd voted for this it'd be a firm "no way in hell."

I’m sorry, but I’m just so tired of this. I don’t have tolerance anymore for pretending the rotating villain theory isn’t 100% validated.

They have the votes, we’re just watching the pageantry now. Let’s stop acting like anybody is acting on principle here.

"It's just Axios" says dozens of people applying fresh clown makeup over their last layer of clown makeup that hasn't even had time to dry yet.

If Pelosi was as much of an ice queen as people pretend she is her response to Chuck helping demolish the signature legislative achievement of her career right before she retires would be to twist the man's head off.

I think Dems are at or near the point of terminal Whiggism already and the younger pols everyone thinks are gonna save them have come too late. The overwhelming loser stench has set in. This is a party that will suck up your time, energy, and money and give you back nothing.
November 10, 2025 at 12:16 AM
Republicans are gonna rightly feel emboldened to demand anything they want next time. They'll ask for the shirt off Dems' backs and they'll get it. Why wouldn't they?
November 9, 2025 at 11:01 PM
I don't wanna sound hyperbolic but I feel like caving on this is effectively caving indefinitely into the future. Who's ever gonna count on Senate Dems to take a firm stand on anything ever again? You've been in that situation so many times and they've always let you down! These guys are total mush!
