Musk's role in this is about as vile as you can get without being a direct participant. He had full access to this info, kept it quiet, then finally spoke up to try to win an intrafactional tiff, only to shamefully retract his accusation and go back to covering for the Pedo Prez. Demonic.

The number one reason this type of deflection works is that the median Dem voter is absolutely scared shitless of the idea that the adults AREN'T in charge and will contort their own perceptions to keep believing in a comforting lie.

Spend any amount of time arguing with scolds about what kinds of food the poors are permitted to afford and eventually they wind up basically arguing that you should live cradle to grave on rice and beans. Meats and other veggies are far too luxurious, you see.

The least sinister (but probably just as enraging) explanation has always been "they just wanna get out of the Senate chambers and off the clock." Why make the process take longer when they could fail quickly and go home?

Yeah I think the pressure on Senate Ds should be considerably higher. They should be fearing for their seats this time tomorrow and ready to throw Schumer under the bus to save their own skins as soon as possible, not just next year.

What Dems across the board need to do to show they're serious about getting rid of this guy is as I keep saying: You have to make Schumer the whole caucus's problem. Every Senate Dem that won't take every measure to oust Schumer as leader must be treated as a collaborator and punished. All of them.

The cynic in me still says that House Dems making noise doesn't amount to much and isn't a particularly brave stance but I just wanna see Schumer go under the bus and I kinda don't care how staged it winds up being.

I think Dems are at or near the point of terminal Whiggism already and the younger pols everyone thinks are gonna save them have come too late. The overwhelming loser stench has set in. This is a party that will suck up your time, energy, and money and give you back nothing.

I don't wanna sound hyperbolic but I feel like caving on this is effectively caving indefinitely into the future. Who's ever gonna count on Senate Dems to take a firm stand on anything ever again? You've been in that situation so many times and they've always let you down! These guys are total mush!
