They told me they’d look into it and in the meantime, not to pay the bill. Told me to call in 30 days bc they can’t make outbound calls. Two weeks later, Paragon Debt Collectors start blowing my phone up.

The long version is I went to the ER & paid my $300 co-pay(before I even got treated actually), and then a month later, I got a check in the mail from St. Mary’s for $154. I deposited it bc duh. Then they billed me for $154. I called. Billing asked why I got a refund - like I’m supposed to know?

Under the slightly revised version, each state’s unfunded mandate would be based on error rate data that is 3, rather than 2 years old. States would know the share of SNAP benefits they are being forced to absorb a year earlier. But no one should think this fixes this policy.
