So much here but that these public health professionals are acting as cops is so disturbed. Clearly there to manage disturbances to the facility rather than protect the health of the prisoners.

It’s worth noting too that Miyazaki’s aesthetics are not frictionless no matter how much they’ve been flattened into “cozy vibes.” His work includes grotesquerie, violence, emptiness, melancholy, and more.
i spent months working on an article drawing parallels between cozy frictionless aesthetics and imperialist ideology and the IDF just skeeted it out
