Today i had the honor to speak alongside multiple incredibly LGBTQ+ individuals at the OAESV statewide conference in Columbus, Ohio.
It was gratifying to speak to violence prevention advocates across Ohio about the importance of including the trans community in mind when serving communities.

A month ago I was able to speak to an audience about Sex Education. In a world where education is filtered, targeted, and censored we must look deeper into taboo education and how the patterns of erasure for these topics can be the guidelines for identifying erasure we see now. #sexeducation

I had a lovely opportunity to speak my mind at this event and so grateful my words made it to paper. We need more community focused efforts if we are going to fight systematic erasure. The systems that be are failing and if communities don't step in to replace what is lost then we will be lost also.

It's truly remarkable that objectively good things in society like Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility are being demonized in broad daylight and the millions of people this categorization encompasses aren't rioting.
The “A” in DEIA stands for accessibility. Federal workers with disabilities, including many veterans, deserve respect and the opportunity to work in public service. A diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible workplace makes public service better and makes everyone’s lives better.
