Happy birthday to your hubby, and congrats on being able to celebrate in Providence! (I hope the weather was okay.) Watching old Trek on TV yesterday, I smiled, remembering you and our fun at Bjo's early gatherings. * happy sigh *

Thanks for letting us know. We need to do everything we can to help those in need, especially those so brutally impacted by what's going on right now.

That came to mind when I heard about the water drained from a Northern California reservoir. That water is essential for irrigating farms, especially rice, during the dry winters. Without that water... Well, that's going to impact farmers and our grocery prices, big time.

Oooh... I can practically hear the Edgar Allan Poe raven. (Okay, yours are crows, but still... 😉 )

What's creepy is that I'm "hearing" that last line in the WDW voice, from the Magic Kingdom's PeopleMover attraction... 😐

Wow! Intuitive...?

Yaayyy for getting it! I got it in four, but here's how: My starter word is always "opera," to check three vowels and one common letter (R). If that leaves me baffled, then I go with "unity" as it checks two more vowels plus a "Y."

It depends upon the fabric & your sewing machine, but one (admittedly clunky) option is: Pin it securely to paper (LOTS of pins) and then sew through both layers, tearing off the paper after you sew. Tissue paper can work for some fabrics. I'm sure there are vastly better solutions.

Worst case, pin it to tissue paper, so it can't stretch.
Then, after sewing, tear off the tissue paper... and use the paper scraps in a collage, maybe? 😉

Oooh, I love these! They're such an inspiring mix of geometrics and stylish portraits! Keep doing what you're doing; important art is... well, important.

Yikes. This is feeling like "Fahrenheit 451" ... but worse.
