...Hallorann asks him who's told him not to talk about it and Danny refuses to say anything. He has a very similar answer when the doctor at the start of the film tries to talk to him.

Someone tracked down the issue of Playgirl Jack's reading after arriving at the hotel. The cover story is headlined something like "Incest - why some parents sleep with their children." Also, there's the way Danny clams up when Hallorann talks to him. "I ain't supposed to talk about that."...

He's also the personification of toxic masculinity decades before anyone ever used the expression. A man with no discernible talent who resents his family because he's convinced himself they're what's holding him back.

What an absolute crock. The inside pocket of the jacket i usually wear to go out is the right size for a paperback so ive got something to read on the bus or while having lunch. It's not for anyone's benefit other than my own.

No, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon does. At least twice. See also the Joel Coen Macbeth and Yojimbo.

Ok - today's top 5. (Two of these are permanent, one is pretty consistent and the other two are what I've settled on today - tomorrow it might be two completely different stories.)
Daleks' Master Plan
War Games
Warriors' Gate
Day of the Doctor
Curse of Fenric.

Yeah. I think it's probably my favourite Betles album. Wins out over Abbey Road because of Maxwell's Silver Hammer.

I've basically taken that aesthetic and applied it to where I live. This is the view from my bed.

Third time I'll have seen it in a cinema - I think that's a record for me.

Good film. (I assume it's the Kubrick version, not the tv series.)

There never seemed to be any house style for the early VHS releases - the cover for Zygons is a montage of different elements, while Talons is a photo of a bloke in a mask in front of a statue.

The Dying Detective? In which case, I think you've also got Susannah Harker from the UK House of Cards.

Yes. We all make mistakes. What matters more is how we react when they're pointed out to us.

Similar in Dr Strange. I saw him on stage in Waiting for Godot about 15 years ago - the contrast was quite painful.

DWM interviewed him a few months ago when they did an issue about Jodie Whittaker. They asked him then if he'd be interested in the job and he said no. Of course, if he's been approached by the BBC, he's hardly going to mention it in an interview.
