💥🇭🇺 For Hungary watchers: a detailed inside look at Viktor Orbán and his Fidesz party's recent internal crisis — how they underestimated opposition leader Péter Magyar and how all the traps they set for him backfired. Orbán's spring offensive against Magyar even caused tensions within the government.

This political prosecution is an attack on all of our First Amendment rights. I’m not backing down, and we’re going to win.

I don’t love Reagan by any definition of the word but he is spot on here
Reagan’s words about tariffs are going viral after Trump’s insistence that they are “fake” created a “Streisand Effect”
Here’s the original clip of Ronald Reagan from April 25, 1987, where he delivered a complete and total rebuke against tariffs. Trump's calling Reagan’s words here “FAKE” and “fraudulent.” They’re 100% real. And the original clip is actually far worse for Trump, as much is left out of the ad:

‼️"The peoples of Central Europe have a duty to speak out when an independent country is under military aggression." Orbán said this in 2008 after Russia attacked Georgia, adding it’s especially Hungarians’ duty after 1956. Now he’s doing the opposite by undermining Ukraine in the EU and the US. Why?

Worth a watch for the ouroboros effect AI slop is having on itself and how it could impact our world. I particularly love that this video is still making the point that it can be useful, just not a source of truth. Get your own facts before an AI model reads AI slop.

Orbán is perhaps one of the most obvious betrayals of previous morality that a politician could ever do.

If Hungary still had a functioning opposition media at scale they would just play clips of young Orbán criticizing the politics of current Orbán just nonstop
💥Viktor Orbán bashing Russia in 2008, after it attacked Georgia: "The peoples of Central Europe have a duty to speak out... when an independent country is under military aggression."

A year later, he met Putin one-on-one for the first time. Everything changed.

The rest is history.
