Sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them
I really struggle to see a way to do something truly cool and unexpected without basically breaking the established tone of the franchise over your knee in a way that it would never recover from, and I don't think Predator is a franchise that gets the kind of auteurs who can and are inclined to try.

For the record, he does absolutely freak out once he realizes he's going to get killed on the Genocide route.

Pretty sure the only reason he's gloating on the Neutral ending is because he doesn't think he's going to stay dead.

They're all great, but probably Diva.

Yeah. In my defense I'm pretty sure that's how the Great Big Sea guys sang it, and for canadian reasons that's the version I'm most familiar with.

this was a fucking trip, some of your finest work.

Also I don't rate him particularly highly as a leader

Stannis needs the shadow assassin to knock out Renly in such a way that he still has an army, but if they'd fought I think Renly at best ekes out a pyrrhic victory even with his numbers advantage, he's got bad instincts and ignores good counsel

Renly taking a hammer to all the norms of succession out of ego probably irreparably breaks the seven kingdoms as a unified polity.

This is such a poorly known animal, and so I've based my reconstruction entirely on the description of it being 'deinonychosaurian' in nature. Adding it to the lineup, we've got our smallest critter so far - again eyeballing the size to some extent.

I find it hilarious that the first sentence of its Wikipedia article calls it a "Controversial Theropod".

Emy Chu and the Frontier art team have really cracked how to blend the classic Stan Winston / Crash McCreery aesthetic with up-to-date scientific reconstruction. The Utahraptor in particular is brilliant.

It's kind of maddening to imagine what could have been with the actual movies

The politics is not the egregiously bad stuff in those movies.

"Why don't they just--"

I guarantee you they have tried. They are oilmen pacing back and forth outside a field of gushers that nobody will let them drill. They have contemplated everything short of murder to get their hands on it. (And I'm not sure that hasn't been suggested at some point.)

It's pretty alright, best of the stomp-clap hits, but also very much not the strongest song on that album.
