Longtime Psychologist. First time author. After years of listening to other people’s stories, I’ve just written one of my own. It’s a gay romance with healthy dose of adventure and psychology. “I’ve Got You”

Worth noting that this is also what the UK government review found, it just ignored all the evidence in its conclusions.

A colleaque shared a powerful quote with me at work this week I thought other might appreciate. “Artists have to create on the same scale as society has the power to destroy.” - Sherrie Rabinowitz. And to paraphrase Roy Schneider in Jaws, I think we’re gonna need a much bigger canvas.

Where’s Niko? I head to the bar and order a glass of Merlot. The bartender looks past me and smiles. It’s him, isn’t it? I glance over my shoulder as a stranger leans over to give the bartender a big wet kiss. And I feel a familiar warm hand on my shoulder. I know that touch with absolute certainty.

Niko choreographs his massages from start to finish, but like a dance performance, they’re never identical. Tonight, I’ll have more control. Still, I may be the captain of the ship, but Niko is the ocean, calm on the surface yet deep and potentially unpredictable.

Having recently written five potential blurbs for the back of my book, “I’ve Got You”, has convinced me of certain truths. Short stories writers should get automatic acceptance to Mensa and poets should be made Heads of State.

OK, here’s the start of things I’d like to see in 2025. How about you?
1. Everyday “Karens” vs. immigrants with leaf blowers.
2. Tesla truck vs. Monster trucks
3. Ice Capades: Disgraced Politicians on Ice.

Other ideas?

I’m not clear why individuals from certain political or religious affiliations find it necessary to ban books. I’ve never found any books I didn’t want fly in to my house and force themselves upon me. More’s the pity. I want more free flying books please!

One has to wonder what kind of shady shit our ancestors were up to
that required the development of an unconscious, so that we can now keep secrets from ourselves.

“I wouldn’t mind finding someone to date outside of the apps. My friend Anna calls dating apps the people store. I’m afraid I’ve gotten stuck in the fast-food aisle.”

“We could discuss who wants it more.”
“Interesting. How do we compare your desire with my desire?”
“Well, are you interested in taking the lead on this adventure? If one of us wants to and the other doesn’t, the decision is made.”
“I’m interested,” Niko states.
“Oh, I’m very interested.”

“I love the early uncertainty of meeting someone new—the complete preoccupation that comes with strong sexual attraction and limited information. It’s so much easier to fantasize about someone when you have a nearly blank slate.”
