No board of adjustment hearing for something like this? Can’t imagine this is a by-right use for whatever zoning that parcel has

Imo the most probusiness thing a mayor could do here is fix city hall. Permits, design reviews, incentives all take too long and receive unbalanced scrutiny, all while plenty of other city services fail to function normally. Genuinely think we just need to sort out the basics and the rest will come

Vox is right that housing first is a proven strategy, imo it’s the only effective solution, but let’s not pretend that the urban libs haven’t been demonizing the unhoused for decades now. Charity shelters are the normie solution—why give someone with no job a house? People won’t want to work!

Gravois as well!!

Light rail creates larger passive economic gains while having lower maintenance costs long term. Also allows for more localized bus networks with a more robust rapid transit spine. BRT would also provide some of that benefit, but to a lesser degree?

From what I understand the merger has been very beneficial for the region. Lots to learn from!

‘Uber is cheaper’ is a crazy sentiment to have when you’re running for mayor in 2025 when sustainable infrastructure is the norm for good governance for the future. It’s not going to get any cheaper unless we invest in it in the first place people! We are lil bro to KC’s big bro government, sad.

If we have a future as a city or a region, it is through transit expansion. We have to start somewhere. Poopooing a project because “uber is cheaper” is WILD work when you want to be mayor. How else are we gonna decrease operating costs at Bi-State?? Fewer busses ain’t the answer either!!
