Looking at the upcoming @tcmtv.bsky.social listings. Monday is MLK Day-related movies, good stuff. Tuesday’s daytime programming is entirely devoted to movies about resisting various fascists. Edge of Darkness (1943) is at 5PM but didn’t fit the screenshot.

I went outside, put on a crown of antlers, and went to Texas Renaissance Festival with friends.

D&D! A map of our party’s neighborhood, currently under siege. We mopped the floor with the undead berserkers, but the floating neighborhood above ours is starting to fall. We…can’t do a lot about that.

Gingerbread friend and dino-buddy

Had a fun D&D session tonight. After multiple sessions of dungeon-crawling, we fought a metal construct dragon in an ancient dwarven forge powered by lava. That’s right, our DUNGEON had a DRAGON in it.

This is Boomer. We got her from the local SPCA in 2011. They believed she was about two years old and full-grown, but she doubled in size before long. She’s old and gray now, but can still jump on our bed and hear a treat container opening in any room in the house.

I love this picture of young Boomer from 2012. Her tail is wagging so fast it’s blurry. I’m glad she grew out of her paper-shredding phase. She’s chunkier and slower and grayer now (me too!), but she still smiles like that sometimes.

I did it! I wouldn’t actually claim to speak Spanish yet, but this is the most I’ve learned of any foreign language, including the two years of high school French and one year of college Latin I bumbled through. Mostly I’m proud that I’ve consistently practiced for a whole year.

A friend hosted a little sky watching party for tonight’s meteor shower in her treeless backyard. She made these cute little party favors for the occasion. We saw meteors! It was lovely.
