Healthcare workers are supporting people in crisis while also being in crisis. Many of us never healed from COVID, and we’re again, showing up in collective trauma and uncertainty. HCWs, please find community and support, let me know if you need recommendations!

Everyday a new horror. We don’t have to let it be. This should stir every healthcare provider to action. There are huge mental health impacts for everyone participating in, witnessing, and being subjected to this administrations policies.

We can resist this dehumanization together.

Will you be a collaborator or a resister? If you’re interested in collaborating with other healthcare providers committed to resisting authoritarianism and building toward more anti-oppressive care, not less, check out @togathernow.bsky.social

Burying information about health inequities doesn’t make them go away, it only worsens them (maybe the point 🤔)

Some of the pages to be restored include patient and provider info on HIV, contraceptives, and improving representation in clinical trials.

Keep fighting!

"Too loud, too reckless, too ghetto."

The unspoken (and sometimes spoken) subtext of every white instructor’s feedback of me during #Nursing school.

Feeling extra proud of #KendrickLamar and #BlackAmerica today. 🖤

Yesterday was Black HIV/AIDS Awareness day. US Black women make up 50% of new HIV diagnosis for women, 10x more than white women. This while we are being told to dismantle health equity and HIV guidance is stripped from the #CDC

Regardless we must keep fighting and keep dancing.

How many times did you ignore how you felt today?

Especially talking to my HCPs here. This is a reminder to take a drink of water, go to the bathroom, stop doomscrolling, and relax your shoulders. Reaching #HealthJustice is a marathon, not a sprint.

You’ll find me talking about collective care and collective action in equal parts. I find people tend to lean heavily into one or the other. But the only way we reach liberation is with both. Here is my weekly suggestion for collective action. Happening tomorrow!

🚨 Healthcare workers: we know this is a scary time. It is also a time for us to be prepared, mobilize, and stay active in protecting those we work with/care for.
