My husband has shoulder length hair and a beard. He doesn’t remotely dress like you or George Will. He’s a Hollywood writer.
But he kinda loses his mind too when he goes to a restaurant (no not McDonalds), and sees guys (always guys, in flip flops, shorts and a baseball hat.

a keep point for me on this is respect for the people who serve me, respect for the people who keep the tables clean, respect for the people who often barely make a living wage working those jobs.
I don’t want to look like I could be cleaning out the garage.
They deserve better.

My 2 cents:
- Trump saw Mamdani’s meteoric rise. He beat everyone, including him and the oligarchs.
- Mamdani ran on affordability and fighting for the working class.
- Trump doesn’t care about either but he wants to be seen as such.
- Embracing Mamdani is his way of co-opting these issues.
