A retired guy, proud Dad and Grandparent, Clash fan, reader, and liberal.
There was an old Second City bit where a reporter is talking to a losing player after a game: “ So Biff, why do you think God hates your team?”
Just once I’d like an athlete to say “hail Satan” at the beginning of a post game interview, is that too much to ask

Angus: This is a guy who showed an AI video of himself dumping diarrhea on his own citizens. So the fact that he’s freaking out because we showed a video that just had Ronald Reagan speaking shows he’s not trustworthy.

Whenever I have doubts I ask myself WWJSD.
What would Joe Strummer do?
This is not the time to be dismayed my friends. This is punk rock time. This is what Joe Strummer trained you for.

Sorry not sorry, y’all. I will never ever never never ever support anything that diminishes trans rights - even if it’s just one tenth of one percent of their rights. Never. Because once you forfeit one tenth of one percent, that becomes 10%, then 100%. Every. Time.

Old Don Trump
Played his hunch
That with a tariff jump
He’d eat Canada’s lunch.

But Old Don quivered
Due to a menu glitch
As Justin delivered
A Canuckle Sandwich.

Elbows up.

Trudeau: We’re probably going to keep booing the American anthem. But let me tell Americans, we're not booing you. We're booing a policy that is designed to hurt us.

But we're Canadian. We're going to fight. And we're going to win.

How they get you to be so secretive on Undercover Boss: I had to sign a surety that made me personally liable for all costs if my secret was exposed. The production staff visited dozens of locations looking for storylines so very costly. Could not sign as company officer or employee.

Don’t it make your blue eyes brown? A souvenir of my stint as an Undercover Boss and an example of the incredible lengths you are put through as you lie to people. Telling your optometrist you just want to have brown eyes, not that it’s part of a disguise.

Exciting anniversary: I saw JFK in person (and also Joe Namath and others, although none of that registered to me as an 11-year old kid). A few years later, I saw RFK at the Calgary Stampede (he was the Parade’s Grand Marshal).

From my journal when I was eleven years old and enjoying Christmas at The Enchanted Isle in Hollywood Beach Florida. Back when you had to wait an hour after eating to go swimming or you’d drown from cramps.
