started reading this book after weeks of mental preparation (it focuses on one of my worst fears: pregnancy) and 'first trimester' are the first two words of the book and i immediately muttered an uncomfortable "ugh" under my breath

today was the kiddo's first parent/teacher conference and apparently when shown a picture of ray charles and a former president, the child raised her hand and informed her entire kindergarden class "we have a bad president now"

farmers market update: i booth next to a beef/processed meat vendor on saturdays and recently several cattle ESCAPED and they had to hire COWBOYS to go find, wrangle, and return them but now the cows have gotten out a second time and she keeps saying "i gotta call the cowboys AGAIN"
