Farmers wouldn’t need a payout from tariff $$ if they weren’t hurt by the tariffs in the first place. Sheesh

Believe the women!
Her adoptive dad had sexually assaulted her for years. But when Taylor Cadle told police, she was treated like a “monster.” She was charged with lying to the police and had to write an apology letter to her abuser.

Justice finally came when Taylor took her phone and hit record.
Police didn’t believe a 12-year-old who said she'd been raped. Then she hit record.

A new report finds corporations like Kroger and McDonald's are using digital loyalty programs to track your data and potentially charge you more.

It's a tactic known as surveillance pricing.

In the spring, the Trump administration abruptly cut $500 million from an emergency food assistance program that delivered meat, dairy, eggs and produce to food banks across the country.

Thousands of planned deliveries were canceled without warning.

ProPublica obtained records from the Department of Agriculture that detail the millions of pounds of food, down to the number of eggs, that never reached food banks because of the administration’s cut...

Anti vaxers have entered the chat about rabies. I read comments on a fb post about a child having to get a rabies shot after getting bit by an unknown dog. Geeez, we’re screwed.

Covid is ramping up. 4 out of 20 from our beach vacation positive and counting. Third year in a row. Isn’t spending time with extended family great? Wouldn’t change getting together but seems like limiting the vaccine is pretty dumb. BTW it’s the super sore throat one.

Inflation and Trump tariffs have hit the dollar store. Dollar Tree near me has adjusted prices to $1.50 and up.

Did you know Missourians passed an anti-gerrymandering constitutional amendment in 2018?

Did you know that the Missouri GOP put it back on the ballot with deceptive language in 2020 and voters overturned the amendment? Voters were duped. Hoodwinked.

Republicans can’t win so they lie and cheat.

US BUDGET DEFICIT SOARS

The deficit jumped 19% to $291B in July. This is despite $21B collected from Americans due to higher import taxes, which led to higher costs on goods like furniture, footwear, and auto parts.

The deficit for 2025 is already $1.63 trillion, up 7% from the last year.

My not to old Kitchenaid dishwasher that cost somewhere around $700 has a small broken piece that holds up the top rack. It’s a little tab smaller than the size of a dime. I rigged it up with a zip tie. Can’t wait to see how much the actual part will be.

Stopped at a lemonade stand today. $2 for a 16oz lemonade. It was good and the kids were excited. Inflation has hit the lemonade stand business.

I’m beginning to regret not planting a big garden this year. We’re in the process of redesigning it making waist high raised beds with irrigation. We’ve had so much rain everything is a mess. First time we’ve not had a full list of veggies.

Exactly!
1/2 Yup. I definitely have TiOS and I bet you do too.

June 14 was powerful—thousands showed up, spoke out, and made it impossible to ignore us. But one day isn’t enough. The fight continues—and so do we.

Collective action is still the best f*cking medicine.

We’ll be lucky to survive this administration.
RFK Jr.‘s extreme anti-vax views — and his related conflicts of interest — were a huge problem during his confirmation process.

So he promised not to change the vaccine advisory panel.

Today, he fired every single expert on that panel. It's a public health disaster.

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has removed every member of a scientific committee that advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on how to use vaccines.
